Molecular single crystals induce chain alignment in a semiconducting polymer

چکیده

The blending of π-conjugated molecules with polymeric semiconductors into a composite system is an effective strategy to promote charge carrier mobility because the transmission path by conductive polymers through electrical bridge connection small organic molecule crystalline domain. In this work, pentacene single crystal was prepared induce conjugated polymer chain alignment semiconductor PDPP2T-TT-OD form semiconducting composite, which led enhanced field-effect thin-film transistor (OTFT) improving crystallinity due nucleation and growth phase separation. Besides, addition anti-solvents, crystallization blend film further improved, 27 times higher than that pure semiconductor–based OTFT. That nuclei induced π-π interactions anti-solvent promoted aggregation chains in solution, enabling molecular packed more closely solid films. Therefore, arrangement via crystals provides new idea improve thin films for construction novel optoelectronic devices.
